Viewing Help
When I open the page, the video stream does not load:
First ensure that your browser is IE or FireFox, is up to date, and that you are running Windows Media Player version 9 or higher. You may also view using Silverlight (see link on the viewing page). Silverlight is ideal for viewing via all popular browsers on both Windows and MAC computers.
I have a Mac and when I try to play the video I get an error.
To view on a MAC, you may need to use the Silverlight viewing page.
The streaming video will play, but it's slow to load and the video is jerky.
The live video is a continuous high-bandwidth stream, and requires at least a DSL or Cable Modem connection to ensure smooth, continuous viewing.
I have a corporate firewall blocking the video streams from coming into my company's network. How do I view the video?
If you are operating behind a corporate firewall, you should not have trouble viewing the streaming media content because it is sent via http. However, some companies attempt to block video and you may need to contact your IT staff.
Why do I seem to hear audio echoes?
Either the audio coming from the source event is poor, or you have two browsers opened and playing the same video (close the extra one).
External viewing questions (optional)
If questions are available, disable any popup blockers to view external video and slides. You can view the full screen video by pressing the full screen link, or by selecting the full screen button within the player on the Silverlight viewing page.
Questions about audio quality, lighting, content, etc.
The owner of the event is responsible for the video production. Discover Video has no control over this. You may wish to contact the event producer.
My PC is controlled by my company. I do not have Windows Media Player and cannot load Silverlight.
You need "administration" rights to load software on your computer. Contact your IT staff if you must use this PC. Otherwise, use another computer (perhaps you should go home to use your personal computer!)
Want to run your own event? It is very simple and inexpensive. Contact Discover Video (www.discovervideo.com) for information.
