Viewing Help
When I open the page, the video stream does not load:
First ensure that your browser is IE or FireFox, is up to date, and that you are running Windows Media Player version 9 or higher.
I have a Mac and when I try to play the video I get an error.
To view on a MAC, you may need a new player.
The streaming video will play, but it's slow to load and the images are jerky.
The live video is a continuous high-bandwidth stream, and requires at least a DSL or Cable Modem connection to ensure smooth, continuous viewing.
I have a corporate firewall blocking the video streams from coming into my company's network. How do I view the video?
If you are operating behind a corporate firewall, you should not have trouble viewing the streaming media content because it is sent via http. However, some companies attempt to block video and you may need to contact your IT staff.
I don't have Silverlight installed. How can I get it?
Silverlight is installed on most new computers, the viewing page brings you to a download link if you don't already have it, or you can get it via www.microsoft.com/silverlight
Can the video quality improve?
This is live video. Quality depends on the ability of the broadcaster to deliver a high bandwidth stream to our servers. In some cases, the broadcaster is on a bandwidth-limited consumer-grade connection and they cannot send a higher bit rate stream.
Can the view for more than an hour?
Each page refresh gives you a maximum of one hour of viewing.
Can I view the video on my cell phone?
Yes, depending on your cell phone model. Any cell phone that is CE-based and has Windows Media Player can display the live video. Generally, if you have a "data plan" (i.e. have a web browser on your phone that works), you can view the live video. Cell phones such as the Motorola Q are supported. Results will also depend on your location and access to necessary data service. The viewing URL is exactly the same as for your desktop browser.
